Two arsons within blocks of each other likely connected | Crime
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Fire crews were busy Saturday night with two likely arsons, set within blocks of each other.
The first fire was set around 8 p.m. A discarded couch and three dumpsters were set on fire behind an apartment building at the 5500 block of 15th Avenue NE. The rear exit was partially blocked by whomever set the blaze, and according to Seattle fire officials the flames almost reached the top of the building. No one inside was hurt, but no fire alarms went off.
The second was set around 8:30, as mattresses were lit on fire in an alley behind the 1300 block of NE 56th Avenue. No damage was reported to that building.
There are no information on suspects at this point, but the investigation continues. But they do believe the same people are responsible for both fires.
